Ingredients (Serves 2)
- ¼ cup moong dal
- ¼ cup oats
- 1 tsp pumpkin seeds
- 1 tbsp curd
- 1.5 tbsp rice flour
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Bread slices (whole wheat preferred)
- Veggies of choice: beetroot, carrot, capsicum, bell peppers
- Oil, sesame seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves for tempering
Method
- Soak moong dal, oats, and pumpkin seeds for 30–40 minutes.
- Blend into a smooth batter with curd, rice flour, turmeric, and salt.
- Heat a tawa and add oil, sesame seeds, mustard seeds, and curry leaves.
- Dip bread slices into the batter and place them on the tawa.
- Top with finely chopped veggies.
- Flip and cook on low flame until both sides are crispy and golden.
