Looking for a breakfast that’s light, nutritious, and tiffin-friendly? This Poha Makhana Uttapam is a brilliant fusion of traditional South Indian flavors with nutrient-dense ingredients like makhana (fox nuts), poha (flattened rice), and sooji (semolina). It’s soft, flavorful, and packed with protein, fiber, and calcium—perfect for kids and adults alike.
This uttapam skips the fermentation process, making it quick to prepare while still delivering a fluffy texture. The addition of curd helps activate the batter, while baking soda or eno gives it the lift it needs. Topped with colorful veggies and a sprinkle of paneer, it’s a complete meal in itself.
