Recipe of Sooji Pan Pizza

Ingredients

Ingredients for pizza base

  • 1 cup of sooji/semolina
  • 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Ingredients for pizza toppings

  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ Cup Chopped Or Diced green Capsicum
  • ½ Cup Chopped Or Diced Onion
  • ¼ Cup Corn Kernels
  • 1 Cup Grated Cheese
  • ½ Cup Diced Cottage Cheese

Ingredients for pizza sauce

  • ½ Cup Chopped Or Diced Onion
  • ½ Cup Chopped tomato
  • ½ Cup Chopped red bell pepper.
  • 1/2 teaspoon diced garlic.

Instructions:

Preparing Pizza Sauce.

  1. Heat a pan on a medium gas flame.
  2. Add garlic , onion and tomato . Mix it well. Stir it for 2 minutes and then add red bell pepper. saute it well..
  3. Now cool this mixture and then blend in mixer grinder to smooth consistency.
  4. Your home made pizza sauce is ready.

Preparing vegetables for topping:-

  1. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan.
  2. Add capsicums, onion and tomatoes to it. Cook the vegetables for 5 minutes on high gas flame without lid.

  4. Stir continuously till the vegetables become slightly tender. Turn of the gas.

Preparing pizza base

  1. In a mixing bowl, add semolina, curd and salt. Mix it.
  2. Add one tablespoon of water so as to make a thick batter for pizza base. Keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Now check the batter, add fruit salt to it. Add water if required. Mix it with light hand. Pizza base batter is ready.
  4. Grease oil on a pan and add a ladle-full of batter to it. Spread well.
  5. Close the lid and let it cook till one side turns brown in colour.

 Preparing pizza

  1. Spread home made pizza sauce on top of the Semi cooked pizza base and add your choice of toppings.
  2. Cover it and let it cook for 10 minutes. or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.Turn off the gas flame.
  3. Slice and serve hot.
