Travel Singapore With Kids | 6 Days Singapore Itinerary

Singapore may be small, about half the size of Delhi, but it’s a huge hit among tourists. There’s no shortage of activities for everyone, from young children to older folks. It’s a place where people from all over the world can find something enjoyable to do.

Traveling to Singapore with kids is a fantastic idea because it’s a safe and delightful destination. I had the pleasure of going there with my child, and it was truly a memorable experience for our entire family. The city offers a plethora of family-friendly attractions and activities that are sure to keep the little ones entertained and excited

Itinerary Of Singapore Trip With Kids

If you’re an experienced traveler who wants to truly experience the city and not just rush from one tourist spot to another, it’s best to spend at least six days there. And if you’re traveling with a child, it’s even better to take it slow and make sure you have plenty of time for fun activities.

Day 1 Jewel Changi Airport, Orchid street

We had the chance to explore the Jewel Changi Mall on the day we arrived since it’s conveniently connected to all terminals. However, we were too exhausted to fully enjoy its beauty, so we decided to dedicate a whole day to it later during our trip.

Our adventure at Jewel Changi Airport began at Canopy Park, situated on level 5. This place offered a plethora of activities and picturesque scenes to capture. We had a blast trying out a few things:

First, we took a leisurely stroll around the Topiary Walk, where we encountered adorable topiary animals like monkeys and birds. The Bouncing Net was a unique experience, walking on suspended nets and enjoying the bounce while watching people below.

The Mirror Maze provided some challenging fun as we tried to navigate our way through and saw multiple reflections of ourselves. Then, we explored the Hedge Maze, getting lost in its scenic beauty while being cautious not to lose our way.

The Discovery Slides were delightful, and we couldn’t resist playing around in this playground with its stairs and slides. For a bit of an extra thrill, we even attempted the rope climb.

There were so many things to do at Canopy Park that I recommend checking out a detailed guide for more information and consider buying a combo ticket for some discounts.

When it was time for lunch, we had plenty of restaurant options around Canopy Park, or we could head down to the food court at basement 2 for a quick bite.

Next, we made our way to see the majestic Waterfall at Jewel Changi Airport. It was an awe-inspiring sight both during the day and at night, and we were mesmerized by its beauty. It’s no wonder this spot is one of the most photographed attractions in Singapore. After enjoying the sightseeing, we took some time to explore the various shops within the mall.

As the evening approached, we saw the evening show at waterfall at 7.30 pm then decided to venture to Orchard Road, which is Singapore’s top shopping district. The area is known for its shopping hubs like 313@Somerset, ION Orchard, and Takashimaya Shopping Centre. We found an array of international fashion brands, restaurants, and delightful treats to indulge in.

Exploring Orchard Road at night was an absolute must in Singapore. The vibrant atmosphere and lively streets made for a merry and unforgettable night. We took a leisurely stroll, immersed in the bustling energy of the area, and had a fantastic time.

Day 2: Singapore Zoo ,Bird paradise ,River safari and Night Safari

We decided to make the most of our day by purchasing a combo ticket that covered all four attractions, costing 110 SGD for adults and 90 SGD for children. Our adventure began at the Singapore Zoo, which is renowned as one of the best zoos in the world. Spanning an impressive 28 acres, it boasts the largest collection of animals we’ve ever seen. The entire tour typically takes around 2-3 hours to explore fully.

For a smooth and enjoyable visit to the Singapore Zoo, we kept in mind these helpful tips:

  1. If you have little ones with you, bringing a stroller is a great idea to keep them from getting tired and ensuring everyone can relish the experience.
  2. Upon entering, we picked up a map and carefully checked the timings of various activities. The Elephant Show was a definite must-see, and we made sure not to miss it. Many activities start in the morning and are repeated later in the day.
  3. Inside the zoo, there’s a convenient and free tram ride available. We hopped on and off at different zones, making it easy to navigate the vast area.
  4. While there are a few small restaurants within the zoo, we discovered that the one near the entrance offered the best dining options. So, planning our time accordingly allowed us to enjoy a satisfying meal.
  5. Given the tropical climate, we made sure not to forget mosquito repellent to protect ourselves from pesky mosquito bites during our visit.

After spending an exciting time at the Singapore Zoo, we moved on to the River Safari, which was conveniently located within the same premises. Later, we took a free shuttle to the Bird Paradise and then returned to the zoo for the highly anticipated Night Safari, which starts at 7.30 pm.

The entire experience at the Singapore Zoo and its connected attractions was simply unforgettable, and we cherished the memories we made exploring the wonderful world of wildlife in this exceptional zoological park.

River safari

River Safari is located right next to Singapore Zoo and it opens at 10am. The entire visit, including the rides, usually takes around 3-4 hours. In addition to exotic fishes from around the world, the River Safari is home to both brown and white pandas. It’s a wonderful experience to watch them. They also offer the Amazon River Quest and a boat ride.

Bird paradise

As we entered the park, we were amazed by its unique layout, divided into eight different parts, each designed to resemble various habitats where different birds reside. It was a delightful sight to see birds famous in those specific places gracefully gliding around.

To make the most of our visit, we planned our day around the special shows held at the Sky Amphitheatre. The “Predator On Wings” shows were scheduled at 10 am and 2.30 pm, while the “Wings of the World” shows took place at 12.30 pm and 5.30 pm. We made sure not to miss these captivating performances.

One of the highlights of the park was the opportunity to get up close and personal with fascinating birds during their feeding times. Pelicans, parrots, Lories, and Lorikeets were among the birds we had the chance to observe during their feeding sessions. To know the exact timings of the feeding sessions, we referred to the official website and made sure to book our slots in advance, as they tend to get filled quickly.

We decided to catch the last show of the day, “Wings of Caterpillar,” before heading off to our next adventure at the Night Safari.

The park’s operating hours were from 9 am to 6 pm, providing us with ample time to explore and savor every moment in this avian wonderland.

Night safari

Night Safari Singapore is a fun place to visit at night if you love animals. There are two cool things you can do there.

First, you can ride on a special tram. The tram takes you around the park to see different animals. There are two types of trams to choose from: the normal tram and the express tram.

Both trams show you various animals, but the express tram lets you skip long lines. If you don’t want to wait in line, you can pay an extra SGD $10.

Night Safari Singapore has four different entry times. The best time to book is the earliest one, which is 7:15 PM.

The park also has two really cool shows you should see. One is called the Thumbuakar Performance, and the other is called Creatures of the Night. They add even more fun to your night at the safari. After dinner, take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the magical and vibrant views of the surroundings at nighttime

That wraps up your itinerary for day 6. Enjoy your time exploring these amazing places!

Conclusion :

I hope this detailed itinerary helps you plan your trip to Singapore with kids easily. During our travels, we found it convenient to use the MRT card for transportation on the metros. I recommend purchasing the card on the very first day of your trip. Taxis can be costly, so try to avoid them whenever possible to save on transportation expenses.

One great thing about Singapore is that you can safely drink tap water. While free tap water is available in some places, I suggest carrying enough water bottles with you as purchasing water can be quite expensive.

As Singapore’s weather can be quite sunny and hot, don’t forget to buy good sunscreen and hats to protect yourself from the sun while exploring the city. This will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable time during your visit.
