Easy Kid-Approved Homemade Nachos: Perfect for snacking

Nachos are a popular snack or appetizer that originated in Mexico. They typically consist of tortilla chips topped with melted cheese, jalapeno peppers, and other toppings such as salsa, sour cream, guacamole, and diced tomatoes. But today we will make homemade nachos made from wheat flour and maze flour.Nachos can be a fun and tasty way to enjoy a snack or meal, and can be customized to suit different tastes and dietary preferences.

Recipe of homemade nachos

Prep Time:10 minutes

 Cook Time :30 minutes

 Servings :1 box

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 cup maize flour (also known as cornmeal)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Oil for frying
  • Shredded cheese
  • Jalapenos, diced tomatoes, or other toppings of your choice

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour, maize flour, and salt. Add in the vegetable oil and mix well.
  2. Gradually add in the water and mix until you have a smooth dough.
  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  4. Roll the dough into thin rounds and prick the roll with a fork, preventing from puffing up while frying.
  5. Trim the sides and cut into triangle pieces.

1)Deep fry option

  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the triangles until they’re crispy and golden brown.
  2. Remove the nachos from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.

2)Air fry option :

  1. Place the triangles in air fries at 180c for 25 mins .
  2. Remove the nachos from the air fryer and keep aside to cool them

3)Baking option

1)Place the triangles on baking tray and bake in preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 25 minutes

2)Remove the nachos from the baking tray and keep aside to cool them.

Finally, enjoy home made nachos with roasted tomato salsa or store it for a month in an airtight container.
